Rock and Shop Vintage Market

I'm pretty excited.  Next Saturday I am headed to Durham N.C. to participate in the Rock and Shop Vintage market.  This is totally new for me but it seems like it's going to be a really great venue.  They will have a live band(s), a fashion show and about 50 artists participating. If you are in the area come and check it out!

It was a Fun Show

It was a beautiful day for Bark in the Park and I have never seen so many dogs in my life all in one place!  From the teeniest tiny dogs to one's so big they could put a saddle on 'em and ride!  It was fun.  Here is a picture of my table.  I really didn't have much to bring but it was great getting into the groove of doing a show again. Be sure to click on the pictures they look much better when they are bigger. :o)

"THE" Question

Where do you get your energy when you are tired from... (fill in the blank) and you know you need to create? (because you said you would do a show - oh no!).

Reality is based on...

Reality is based on perception and perception is based on beliefs.

Reality is what we take to be true.
What we take to be true is what we believe.
What we believe is based upon our perceptions.
What we perceive depends upon what we look for.
What we look for depends upon what we think.
What we think depends upon what we perceive.
What we perceive determines what we believe.
What we believe determines what we take to be true.
What we take to be true is our reality. –Gary Zukav

'cause I'm the Tax Man

Good Beatles song IMO. :o)
Seriously though, it's like tax season the sequel.  Ever since they made extensions a ONE time deal and eliminated that August deadline, September and October became just like April.  Sheesh!  Ignorance is why I picked this profession I swear! lol

Garden Gnomes

I have been very busy this Labor Day weekend and would like to share the fruits of my labor (of love!).  You know how I like to recycle if I can so these Garden Gnomes have been created over burned out light bulbs (must be my favorite armature).  I am really happy with them and plan on creating many more.  The little Gnomes in the last picture are on night light bulbs and are waiting for their paint job. The rabbit is another series on burned out vanity bulbs that I believe will become an entire series of Party Animals.  That's future stuff as long as the muse lasts. :o)
Thanks for looking!

The Play of Light and Shadow: Better Blogging: Marketing Tools for Artists and Crafters

I Heart this Post!
I decided to use a picture of a shell heart my daughter made at the beach. It seemed very appropriate with the close of summer and giving credit to a post that I found really helpful!

This is a Hoot!

Pun intended too. Check this out. I was searching myself on Google to see if I even ranked on the page (it's lunch time so it's ok for me to do this - ha ha). Anyway, look what I found. I had no idea that anyone really looked at my stuff. This article is from 2007 but hey - I'm happy! Here is where the article is found: http://polymerclaynotes.com/?p=2931
