Sea Snails - WIP

I nearly have mr. creepiness finished. He has received a fine paint job and I just need to wrap his head in some (bloody?) bandages. I should have some completed photos soon but I also wanted to share a few sea snails I am working on as well. They all need some additional things added to them but I think they are far enough along for a coming out party. :o)

Poem for Patty Mooney

Photo compliments of Leny~s on flickr
I am posting this poem for Patty (A Diary Left Open) because I think it is really beautiful and that she will like it. She writes amazing poetry herself. My sister Deanna (Blue Dragon Arts) shared this poem with me and I hope you guys like it too.

Wild Geese

You do not have to be good.

You do not have to walk on your knees

for a hundred miles through the desert repenting.

You only have to let the soft animal of your body

love what it loves.

Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you mine.

Meanwhile the world goes on.

Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain

are moving across the landscapes,

over the prairies and the deep trees,

the mountains and the rivers.

Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air,

are heading home again.

Whoever you are, no matter how lonely,

the world offers itself to your imagination,

calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting

over and over announcing your place

in the family of things.

Another one bites the dust - he he

A little silly I know, but it feels sooo good to have a tax deadline behind (9/15) and the last one looming (10/15) before it starts all over again. Here is a random picture just for no reason and a little eye candy. How do you like that? :o)

More Goodies

I created a few more recycled post cards thanks to Kateyeviews postcard swap. I love how the tissue paper looks in the trees with the little fox. ;o)

Postcard Swap

Here is one of the postcards I created for the postcard swap I participated in from the blog of Kat Eye View. I can hardly wait to see what cool postcards I will get back.

Dragonfly Summer

Michael Franks has a song that I love called Dragonfly Summer and, right now, that is the time of year we are in. There were dragonflies of all different shapes, sizes, and colors as we made our way down the trails and out to the beach. It was hard to get a good photo of them but what a gorgeous day.
A little blurry :o(

Sydd, the beach warrior

There is a dragonfly in this picture :o)

You can see a dragon fly on the tip of tall grass

Sydd never walks anywhere. It is always full steam ahead!

Pod from the Trumpet vine

The inside of a trumpet flower

Somebody didn't finish their lunch. Poor crawdad.

Look at how gorgeous the water is!

Watching baby clams dig back into the sand

Look at my clam Gram'ma!

Is there an app for that???

I would like to create an app that would reach out and slap the stupid email sender.
As you can tell, I have been the receiving a rash of stupid emails that leaves me wondering
"Is there an app for that"?

Example: You are requested by your boss to send an email, as a 'courtesy', providing details of an event that can already be accessed by All on a calendar.
I receive a reply that says it would have been nice if I would have sent the email out sooner so people would have had time to schedule it and attend.

In a perfect world I would hit my reply button and send a 'slap' right back to the individual who sent it for being stupid. They have total access to the calendar 24/7 that lists all available events to attend.
LOL!
