Busy Busy

I can't believe how busy I have been. Here are a few items I finally finished and posted to my Etsy shop. I just made an adorable slug last night {really this slug is cute :o)}. I have this crazy blue-eyed rabbit in progress and at some point I have to finish Molly Macabre. She is completely armless right now poor girl and Halloween is 'just' around the corner!

Moon Rise and Sunset

So pretty.

Can you believe that sunset? Point and click - that's all I did and it looks just like it did with my naked eye. Cool.

The camera really didn't want to zoom on the moon but it still captured some great detail even if there is a lot of noise in the picture.

These pictures were taken only minutes apart. I just stood on my front lawn and shot east and then west. :o)

Tropical Storm Hannah cont'd

Ok, just a FEW more pictures... I swear. Then I am done (grin). Can you see the itty bitty speck of a moon in the first photo?

Lisa - This Crab's for YOU! :o)

Would you just look at this very Wee Crabbie? Notice the position of his little claws just waiting to snip at me. He is a tough crabbie - no? click click! Watch Out!

Hey - this little guy let me get to within SIX INCHES of him for his photo shoot! That is completely unbelievable as anyone who watches these little guys know. They run at the faintest noise and scurry right back into their holes! It was so nice of him to pose. I nearly fainted though 'cause I held my breath the whole photo shoot just sure he was going to run!

Tropical Storm Hannah

Well, I took these photos as the day was waning and Hannah had done her worst... :o)
Notice how the surf is being caught by the wind causing great areas of spray as it crashes - so cool! And oh, the cute little sand piper eating dinner - they are a riot to watch and they run so fast! Lastly, the sun is almost gone... it's pretty cool how the cloud follows the same line as the sand dune.

My Transient Mind

I have been musing about me and where I find myself at this point in my life (and I find that I laugh at myself quite a bit). I can be rather silly and I enjoy laughter (a lot). Anyway, my musings brought me to the fact (again) that I am still living in Virginia after all these years. This is humorous to me because I have always viewed this as a temporary stop along my life’s journey. I never dreamed that I would still be living in the first house I ever purchased or that I would still be in this state. I always knew that one day I would either move back to CA or the Southwest, yet here I sit. I can only surmise that it’s because of my two girls that I never pushed to move, which is interesting to me because that was never a consideration when I was a child growing up. If my folks wanted to move then by golly they moved and we went right along with them. I certainly survived that and on reflection believe it was the best thing they could have ever done for us however, I digress. It was my thinking about this beautiful world that circled me back around to my ‘transient’ frame of mind and where I am. BUT then something unexpected happened. I suddenly realized that I live in a very beautiful place. Oh, I know that this tiny speck of a thought has been there in the back of my head all along somehow; that small, elusive voice peaking around the edges of my brain that suddenly today found enough voice to scream at me “HEY! Isn’t it GORGEOUS here?” I guess I really am Home. :o)
For your viewing enjoyment I selected a couple of photos I took recently of this beautiful place I live. Be sure to click on the image for Full Size Viewing.

Slow Moving

Poor Mopey Morose was completely hoodwinked by the salesman who sold him his New Shell; told him it had Turbo Power and everything. Unfortunately Mopey read the return policy a little too late: "No Refunds or Exchanges". On the bright side, it was a decent color with very cool lines.
Guess I am stuck in a slow mood. Had to create another snail. :o)
