Winds of Change

I don't usually talk about my views on my Country, our World, or how we get along as humans, but I am very disturbed by how it is all progressing. I Know it will not always be like this but it is up to us, "All the people" of this planet, to turn it around and stop the corruption and genocide of the people and place we call home. This is the Only Earth we will ever have...

I love this website and the link I have provided today takes you directly to the Arts which I felt was appropriate since most of you who follow me are Artists. We need to speak through our creations and allow them to be seen in order to affect these positive winds of change.

It is time for all humans, animals, plants, and the Earth to THRIVE NOW.

Photo Inspiration

I got this photo from one of my friends on facebook. It is a photo she took and I fell in love with it. This little girl and her dog are so cute and I love how the sun shines through the pink tutu. I want to translate it into a painting in my style when time permits. But for now, it sits in my mind percolating until the day arrives.

29 Faces

I have had technical difficulties which has kept me from posting my faces for the 29 Faces challenge over at Ayala Art's blog. My scanner is down and that (for me) is the easiest way to capture small images. ;o)  My photography is pretty bad but here are a lot of faces to catch me back up (not in order of creation).

Not Ugly Anymore

Alright, I realize that my title is completely a matter of opinion, but based on the previous photo of her from the post "The Uglies" I think she has really come up in the world! LOL

Clown Fish Boy! Woot!

Check this guy out! Now THIS is the kind of art I adore when it flows out of me. It is deliciously weird, bold, cute, odd, you name it. This just makes me smile. I have an interesting way of disassociating myself from what I have created, almost like it isn't mine, but it is, I have the paint stains to prove it. ha ha ha
I hope you like this funky kind of work too!

The Uglies

Presenting... The Uglies!

At this point she seriously needs a plastic surgeon to fix that forehead! LOL

Did someone say I need some sleep? Just look at those dark circles around her eyes. ha ha ha
I don't know about you, but every painting (or sculpture) I begin always goes through the phase of the "Uglies". I find this moment in the process fascinating because from this moment foward, anything can happen! Will it turn out like I have in my mind? Will it look good? Will I destroy it? Will I even finish it?
You see? There are so many possibilities and I only named a few. Exciting stuff don't you think?

Owl ATCs

These Owl ATCs are actually what I would call a collaboration. Kat Enders sent me the backgrounds as a surprise and the colors were so pretty, I wanted to make something with them. Owls have been a very popular motif so I tried them. The only alteration I did to one of the backgrounds was to add stamped words. Not sure what the language is, arabic or something. I hope you like them. :-)
